This technical analysis is prepared by the production and engineering desk at Mayser Textile Turkey. Based on over 30 years of high-volume garment manufacturing for international fashion houses and defense clients, this guide outlines critical operational standards, cost drivers, and execution steps.
Phase 1: Concept, Tech Packs & Fabric Selection
Every exceptional shirt begins with technical precision. Brands define their silhouettes—slim, contemporary, classic, or relaxed—along with collar styling, cuff details, placket types, and fabric compositions. At Mayser Textile, our textile engineers assist in matching creative vision with industrial weaving specifications.
Phase 2: Pattern Engineering & Digital CAD Grading
Using sophisticated 2D/3D CAD pattern systems, our master modelers digitize patterns and grade sizing across international standards (EU, UK, US). Digital fabric nesting software maximizes fabric yield, reducing material waste and lowering per-unit production costs.
Phase 3: Prototyping & Pre-Production (PP) Approval
Before touching bulk fabric, we fabricate an exact pre-production prototype in the approved fabric and trims. Clients inspect fit, collar roll, drape, and stitch density (20-22 SPI), providing written sign-off before mass production begins.
Phase 4: Precision Cutting, Assembly & Quality Inspection
Computer-guided cutting tables ensure laser-accurate collar and cuff components. Specialized assembly lines stitch fronts, backs, yokes, sleeves, and collars, followed by rigorous in-line quality inspections and automated buttonhole creation.
Phase 5: Industrial Pressing, Packing & Dispatch
Steam presses shape the collars and shoulders into retail-ready presentation. Garments are tagged, folded with tissue inserts, polybagged, boxed in heavy-duty export cartons, and loaded for European road transit.
